Today was my first day in Oklahoma with my boyfriend. My flight last night ended up being over two hours delayed, so we actually didn’t get in until 2:00am (which my body thought was 3:00am because of the time zone difference- which, by the way, I can officially say that I’ve finally left EST!), so we got a late start on our day today. We made the most of the rainy, dreary day by heading to this adorable little downtown area in Oklahoma City called Bricktown. It’s a little town filled with restaurants, shops, and entertainment options, all with a little canal running through it. We walked around for a little bit, and had lunch at “Toby Keith I Love This Bar” bar and grill.
I don’t have my computer or my slr with me, so these are all taken with my Panasonic point and shoot and edited with various iPad apps (the photoshop app, instagram and pixlrmatic)
Us on the bridge over the canal in Bricktown
For the next two, I went with a “vintage 1960’s/1970’s road trip with a cheap camera” look. The first is a waterfall along the canal, and the second is us in front of the canal.
The following are from Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar.
And the last one is from the long stretch between Oklahoma City and where my boyfriend is located- for an hour-ish, we saw nothing but open fields with the occasional mountain. The dreary day didn’t make for a nice picture, but after some crazy editing, I ended up with this picture, which I absolutely love!
