This is our first (and last..for now) weekend to enjoy together, so today we took some time to explore some neighboring areas within Spokane. I had read about two areas in particular, Hillyard and Garland, both which are older sections of town and have a lot of old archetecture, signage and antique stores (my favorite!). We went to Hillyard first, which was literally a town of one square block– but it was literally lined with antique stores!
At the end of the block was a small side street…and at the end of that street was this ferris wheel….parked in someones back yard….with a tree growing into it. I love it!
