Roadside America

12 Aug

Anyone who knows me (or followed my road trip blog at knows that I love random things that can be found on the side of the road, and that I spent most of my road trip begging my fiancé to stop at such places (“Cadillac Ranch” and “Paul Bunyon” in the Redwood Forest come to mind).
I was out and about yesterday running some errands when I passed by the “Bayville Dinosaur”. I had forgotten that this roadside america existed in my own back yard. I must have passed this dinosaur by trillions of times in my years living here, but never really stopped to take a picture of him. He was built in the 1930’s and is a local landmark. The building he stands in front of is now vacant, so I worry that his days are numbered- I grabbed a quick cell phone shot, but I have to go back with my SLR and properly document him before he’s gone for good.
