Hurricane Sandy

29 Oct

Hurricane Sandy is set to hit today.  And when I say hit, they’re literally predicting that it’s going to hit within 10 miles of where I live.  Our town was under a state of emergency, and we’re not allowed on the roads after noon today.  Power has already gone out twice today, and the trees behind our house have already lost a few limbs and most of their leaves, but the worst is yet to come.

We did go out this morning after breakfast just to check out the bay again.  Most of the coastal areas of our town are under water, and I suspect it’s only a matter of time before the rest of the town is too….

Same bay as yesterday— this time with 3-5 foot waves (which is nothing compared to the 10-20 foot waves they’re predicting for the oceans!

You brave soul! Thanks for the updated shots. So scary. Hang in there, just a little more to go. Hard to believe it has not hit yet. I hope our house is still there tomorrow! Good luck Dana.
